The well renowned duo is performing at American University on May 18th at 8 p.m. as a part of the EU month of Culture 2013. DFMC (Danish Film & Media Composers) has announced Nicklas Schmidt as Denmark’s nominee for the HARPA Nordic Film Composer Award 2012 for the score for “the Great Bear”. The prize will be awarded in Reykjavik, Iceland in October in connection with the Reykjavik Film Festival. The young rising accordeon star Bjarke Mogensen has commissioned a new work to be premiered 1st June 2012 where Mogensen features as soloist with the Prinsens Musikkorps Brass Ensemble. The new “Concertino” for accordeon and brass is one of a few of its kind written for this rare constellation of instruments. The ensemble will be lead by conductor Jesper Juul.
