Happy new year to you!

2014 has been a very productive and exciting year, with a large number of works premiered, including both film scores and concerts.
Here are some highlights:

  • 4 feature film releases in Danish and international cinemas with my scores (Beyond Beyond [Berlinale World Premiere],  Klassefesten 2, Familien Jul & Kolbøttefabrikken)
  • A two day live cinema concert event with Malmö Symphony Orchestra featuring the premiere of director Jonas Ussing’s short film Zombiehagen. And a performance of Esben Toft Jacobsen’s The Great Bear. Both blending the experience of live orchestra with film projection at Malmö Konserthus.
  • My first job on an international A-list production: The Theory of Everything, with music by Jóhann Jóhannsson. I worked as arranger, orchestrator, and was also credited as composer of additional music on the film. The score has just been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
  • I scored my first “Hollywood” film, Scaremonger, directed by Sasa Numic as his AFI thesis film.

— a moment elevated, like so much of the movie, by composer Nicklas Schmidt and his angelic choir.” – Variety review of Beyond Beyond, March 2014
