Choir Music Premiere in May Concerts

Hymnia Chamber Choir

The International award winning Hymnia Chamber Choir will perform in two concerts entirely dedicated to choral music by Nicklas Schmidt. The concerts will take place at the Enghave Church in Copenhagen May 13th and at Vor Frue Kirke in Aarhus on the 20th of May.

Both concerts will be conducted by Flemming Windekilde.

4 choral works including one world premiere will feature at the concerts:

  • En stille bøn (A Silent prayer) – 2001
  • Gloria – 2004
  • Oversættelser (Translations) – 2006
  • Nowhere Now Here [World Premiere] – 2012

The newly written piece “Nowhere Now Here” is based on texts by American author Neale Donald Walsch from his best selling books “Conversations With God”.
Walsch’s vision is an expansion and unification of all present theologies to render them more relevant to our present day and time.
